We are excited to share that our Dr. Shannon Mount, Senior Consultant for Student Support Systems has been chosen to be a part of Indiana’s Rural Health Transformation Program!
Working in tandem with Indiana Area Health Education Center (AHEC), Dr. Mount will be working with interested schools to help support the growth of Social and Community Services Pathway in rural high schools. The goal is to strengthen and expand the local pipeline of trained community workers ready for the workforce or college after high school.
The Indiana Rural Health Transformation Program is a five-year initiative focused on innovation, strategic partnerships, infrastructure development, and workforce investment. Approximately 60% of Indiana RHTP funding is centered around the Growing Rural Opportunities for Well-being (GROW) initiative, which provides an opportunity for rural communities to assess and respond to the greatest needs in their regions.
We are grateful for the opportunity for Dr. Mount to contribute to this important work and look forward to investing in local communities and partner organizations as this regional initiative takes shape.
This Rural Health Transformation Program is supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award totaling $206,927,896.80 with 100 percent funded by CMS/HHS.
